Smeaton Consulting Ltd.pursuant to the service contract with the Chevron Nigeria Limited {CNL}and Nigeria National petroleum {NNPC}Joint venture Western Delta gas program invite experienced and reputable person having prime to fill the post of Senior Drilling Engineers.
Duties/Responsibility
* Prepare AFEs in respect of Exploration and Development
Drilling/Workover
Wells.
* Prepare drilling programs and obtain in house approval.
* Monitor drilling progress and ensure optimisation of drilling
parameters.
* Prepare process flow diagrams of drilling and workover wells.
* prepare post drilling and well completion reports.
Qualifications/Experience
Candidates must posess B.sc in petroleum or Mechanical or Chemical
Engineering or Petroleum Geology,with minimum Oil Industry experience
of 5years.Deep Water drilling experience will be an added advantage.
Must be computer literate and should be conversant with the use of
variety of drilling packages.
This programme would be carried out within the NNPC/CHEVRON JV's gas to liquids processing facility Escravos. Smeaton Consulting Nigeria Limited as a contractor for provision of technical support personnel,will require qualified drilling engineer to execute the
aforementioned work at the Joint Venture's operational bases in
PortHarcourt,Lagos and Escravos,which is situated 100miles south east
of Lagos.
The current contract duration forecast is approximately twelve {12}
months,with an optional twelve {12} months extention or duration of "6+6" months.
Additional information
salary Indication-- {individual}--US$21,000 monthly

Contract will be renewed only as necessary Smeaton consulting Ltd.will be responsible for requitment and only persons found suitably qualified shall be invited.
The Joint Venture currently plans to execute contract starting from the 21th of August the year 2004.
Notification/Interest:all relevant information/notification of
